Constellations National Park

MUSIC - CORRE - AEON

A couple years ago on my travels, someone asked me - “if you could come up with an idea for your own national park, what would it be?” And I knew the answer right away.

It would be the only national park dedicated to everything outside the US, and really, everything outside of planet Earth. The only national park dedicated… to the night sky.

I’d put it in southeastern colorado where there’s no light pollution, but still only a few hours from major airports.

I’d have a planetarium for daytime visitors, and an observatory for nighttime visitors to show the constellations and teach about stars and how Native cultures used them, before we had telescopes and modern technology.
I’d have a planet walk for people that want to hike and enjoy the scenery, day or night.
It would be the ideal place for meteor shower viewing parties or solar events like eclipses, passing comets…
Instead of cabins, I’d build geodesic domes so you can lay back and fall asleep under the night sky…

What would I call it?

Constellations National Park.

You never know… maybe one day my idea will actually become reality. That’s it for me for now. Thanks for watching.
